Youth Sunday School

Yeah, we know how hard it is to get up on a Sunday morning after a late Saturday night of movie watching or basketball game playing or video games or hanging out with friends or whatever it is you like to do. About the last thing that you want to do is drag yourself out of bed before 8:30 and listen to someone talk. You get enough of that every day at school. And, besides, your parents don't make you come to Sunday school and/or church, anyway.

Sunday school definitely isn't something that you have to do, but perhaps, just perhaps, it can become something that you want to do. At IPC, Youth Sunday school (grades 6-12) takes a very laid back approach. We do talk, there's no denying or getting around that. We talk about what's going on in our lives--the good, the bad and the ugly. We talk about the lectionary scriptures so that we might gain a little insight before the morning worship service. We talk about the blessings in our lives as well as the challenges that we face. We talk about our roles in this world in order to bring about the vision of the Gospels. We do all of this talking to help prepare us for what lay ahead, be it a day, a week or three years down the road.

We meet from 9:00 to 9:50 in the Youth Room (how appropriate!) located on the lower level. It's a comfortable room with lots of space and cushiony couches. We encourage you to come and give it a try if you have never been there, to come back if you've been there before and don't come now or keep coming if you're a regular attender. Most of all, we encourage you to come, be yourself and open yourself up to the possibilities that present themselves on your faith journey.
